Not to be confused with the infamous song by a certain former Menudo star, the title Viva La Vida is actually inspired by a Frida Kahlo painting with the same title (see it here). The phrase translates to "Long live life," and time will tell if this phrase has any direct relevance to the album. After such inconspicuous album titles as Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y, it seems a little out of place, but hopefully that means a different direction for the band (that doesn’t involve bad latin music covers). Viva La Vida will be released June 17.
